For
most organisations their strength is their people and THE
BOG is no exception. Our staff are a good mixture
of full timers and those who work part time to supplement
their study.
The Bar Crew
|
The team is an experienced and lively
crew who have a lot of fun and believe in excellent service
for every patron at the BOG with a smile, and a welcome back on your return.
Our Bar Team is led by experienced Duty Managers, Tanya, Matt, Ariana, Ange and Sam. They bring a wealth of hospitality experience to their roles, and are ably assisted by a well organised team.
We have other bar staff who also help
to keep the place running smoothly and all bring their own
personalities to the BOG.
The Chefs
|
And in the Kitchen Casper is our head Chef assisted by Yen, Michael, Sean and Kay.

SHAMBOLIC: Born in July 2005, this band has had two rehearsals, the second of which was a gig. Both were an absolute shambles, hence the name. Shambolic specialises in playing songs that probably shouldn't be attempted on acoustic guitars. Come on in for a foot-stomping, sing-along.
Byline: "All-Acoustic Mayhem"
Member: Mark McKenzie | Guitar, Vocals, Beatbox, Sarcastic comments
Member: Sima Bagheri | Guitar & Vocals
Member: Nigel Mooney | Bass & occasional notes only cats and dogs can hear
Music Styles: Everything [Classics, Sing-alongs, Kiwi hits, Irish]
THE JAMESONS: Every Tuesday night the session is lead by a very experienced
band of musicians collectively named "The Jamesons". Ian, Tom, Philip, Bob, Vicki, Dave,
Jo & John play mandolin, banjo, guitar, harmonica,
fiddle, tin whistle, bones, accordion & bass between
them and and are normally accompanied by up to 20 other
musicians. This is a traditional session of songs and tunes
but don't be surprised to see and hear musicians of all
ages and cultures, and a range of instruments from the trumpet
to the electric bagpipes on any given Tuesday.
Check out their live recording CD of the Tuesday Night music session which is available for $20 only at The Bog.
TUSSOCK CREEK: Tussock Creek are a newly formed 3 piece band. The trio has an extensive and eclectic musical repertoire, which includes Irish, folk, country and classic rock, in other words just about something to please everybody. They utilise vocal harmonies, percussive acoustic guitar and the warm tones of an upright bass to provide a unique and easy listening sound. The group consists of John on Guitar and vocals, a Bog old timer having performed 7 years on their stage, Jade who provides female vocals and harmonies and Barry who plays a giant stand up bass crafted by himself and lovingly referred to by the band, as Betsy. Tussock Creek is often accompanied by other talented musicians who add lead guitar, whistle, mandolin, fiddle and harp. They endeavour to fill all requests, the more obscure the better!
Byline: "Eclectic trio "
